Captain Phasma puts Finn, known as FN-2187, on trash duty as punishment for a series of embarrassing mishaps on a mission with the First Order.
In the opening credits, BB-8 and a Star Wars ball lead the way followed by Rey, Maz Kanata, Finn, Captain Phasma, two stormtroopers, Ben Solo, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and three porgs.
A Resurgent-class Star Destroyer orbits a red planet. On the planet's rocky surface, Captain Phasma orders the stormtroopers of the FN Corps to charge up a rocky mound. Finn trips while scaling the hill and also loses his helmet, which smacks the top of Captain Phasma's helmet. Phasma growls at him, while Finn bows his head in embarrassment. Later, Phasma orders the stormtroopers to attack a large green, fire-breathing creature with four legs. The stormtroopers jump on top of the creature. Finn lands on top of its head, scorching Phasma's armor.
The stormtroopers and Phasma later transport the creature out of an Atmospheric Assault Lander into the Star Destroyer's hangar. Just then, the creature breaks free of its restraints and unleashes another fiery salvo. Finn charges with a foam extinguisher, covering everyone in foam. The stormtroopers subdue the creature, but an unwary Finn accidentally sprays Captain Phasma with foam.
Having had enough of Finn's mishaps, Captain Phasma orders Finn to clean the hangar with a vacuum machine. Three of his fellow stormtroopers hurl cream and rations at him while laughing. Finn grumbles. He then uses a hoversled to shove rubbish down a garbage chute. However, the door fails to open. While fiddling with the controls, Finn is sucked down the garbage chute and lands on a pile of trash. Finn senses movement in the darkness and flees, but trips. Several flickering lights close in around him.
