Finn tries to escape the trash compactor, but finds himself in a bind thanks to a mischievous gang of broken droids.
The episode opens with FN-2187 quivering fearfully in the darkness of the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer's rubbish heap. Two droids, one with a blue photoreceptor and the second with with a red one, approach him. One dons his stormtrooper helmet. The two droids chat in Binary while they raise their arms as FN-2187 sighs.
FN-2187 tries to reach a role a hole at the top of the trash compactor by stacking debris. He tries to jump out of the hole but the pile of debris collapses under his weight. The two droids lead him to a conveyor belt where debris is shoved down an incinerator. Metal wreckage are taken up by a giant magnet and then compressed into pyramids, which are used to make metal components.
Just them, FN-2187 realizes that the droids have bound him with wires. They hurl him onto the conveyor belt and raise their hands. FN-2187 manages to avoid the incinerator but the droids recapture him and bind him to a metal object. FN-2187 struggles but is caught by the giant magnet. The episode ends with the compressors about to close in on him.
