Freelies

The Freelies were a youth gang on Vorzyd IV that specialized in industrial sabotage of production facilities on their home planet.

The older generation of Vorzydiaks had a very strict work ethic, to the point that things like fun and games were frowned upon. The younger generation grew to hate this, possibly due to their proximity to the "Gambler's World," Vorzyd V, a world of casinos and amusement parks. The Freelies sought to bring about social change on their world through their acts of terrorism and sabotage. They assisted Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi during their mission to restore peace between the government of the planet.

Afterward, in the wake of the destruction of the Jedi Order and the establishment of the Galactic Empire, the Freelies began attacks on neighboring planet Vorzyd V. They captured C-3PO while Luke Skywalker was on planet, and they began a debacle with a group of Imperial stormtroopers, resulting in many deaths.
