A detachment of Imperial clone shock troopers guarded the Galactic Senate Building, with Clone Commander Thire serving as its commanding officer. Following the Proclamation of the New Order and the transformation of the Galactic Republic into the Galactic Empire, Commander Thire and his troopers were ordered to search for Jedi Grand Master Yoda in the moments after his duel with Galactic Emperor Darth Sidious. Thire was then commanded to accompany the Emperor to retrieve the seriously injured Darth Vader on Mustafar, taking a squad of his men.
