A veteran of the Clone Wars, the aging Governor Holleck performed poorly in his post, proving ill-equipped to deal with Chandrilan politics. Emperor Palpatine forced Holleck's departure and replaced him with Gerald Weizel, a protégé of Grand Admiral Rufaan Tigellinus who displayed far more subtlety and political savvy than Holleck. Holleck retired to the planet Ganthel.
