The Falleen prince selected Green as a Vigo primarily because of the Human's network of spies. Green's ambitions to replace the Underlord were well known to Xizor, but he was not considered a credible threat. Many of Green's operatives were double agents with affiliations to Durga the Hutt. Few of Green's rackets were sufficiently profitable in Xizor's eyes.
After the Battle of Yavin, an ex-employee of Vigo Green retired on the planet Corellia where he bought a patch of land to raise large creatures. As this employee still owed money to Green and failed to comply with certain payment arrangements, the Vigo recruited a group of discreet gunmen to teach him a lesson. The spacers thus traveled to the property and slayed any creatures they could find.
Eventually, Xizor discovered that Green was spying on Black Sun for an unknown outside organization. As a result, Xizor had Guri kill Green in front of the other Vigos as a message. His position was subsequently given to another Human who, unbeknownst to the council, was actually Xizor's niece Savan in disguise.
Green was middle-aged during the Galactic Civil War, and his hair was receding. Green's lavish dress reflected his belief that such costumes gained him the respect of his underlings.
