The "Gee-Pees," otherwise known as the Ground Pounders, comprised one of three mobile Imperial fleets tasked with patrolling the Tapani sector throughout the duration of the Galactic Civil War. The Tapani Defense Force and Swift Wing represented the remaining fleets.
The Gee-Pees, characterized by their diminutive size and exceptional mobility, frequently received specialized tasks, including interdiction, confiscation, and aerial bombardment of ground targets. While their primary function involved patrolling the sector, any special assignment superseded this duty. The Ground Pounders would often interrupt their patrols to address urgent situations that arose within the sector.
