Grunge fever was a disease spread by womp rats. The fever is transmitted by pus from lesions in the skin of the animals. In 1 ABY, Animal Control officer Entha Kandela tasked a spacer to eliminate womp rats around Mos Eisley to prevent propagation of the disease in the city.
