Gurnst was a Human male mercenary officer who lived during the Galactic Civil War. After the Battle of Yavin, Colonel Gurnst was hired by the Galactic Empire in order to squelch the Wookiee resistance on Kashyyyk. In 1 ABY, Colonel Gurnst was stationed in Kachirho where he recruited many spacers visiting Kashyyyk to join Task Force Bravo in the fight against the Wookiee freedom fighters.
