Gwori was home to Gwori Revolutionary Industries and was the site of one of the CIS's biggest shipyards. Early in the Clone Wars, Gwori's shipyard was infiltrated by Republic forces on a mission to destroy it. The mission marked one of the first deployments of the BTL Y-wing starfighter.
During the Imperial Period, the planet's shipyards were seized by the Galactic Empire in order to exclusively produce Imperial-class Star Destroyers.
