Hanod

Hanod was a terrestrial astronomical object located in the Hanod system, a part of the Corva sector in the New Territories portion of the Outer Rim Territories. At some point by 38 ABY, military bunkers on Hanod were identified by letters from the ancient Common Sith writing system, a fact which was noted by the xenolinguist Doctor Milanda Vorgan in her publication "The Written Word: A Brief Introduction to the Writing Systems of Galactic Basic."

Hanod was introduced in the article "The Written Word," which was authored by John Hazlett and published on StarWars.com Hyperspace on March 5, 2010. The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Hanod system, and therefore Hanod itself, in grid square P-3. Although the entry for the system in the 2008 The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia claims that it was situated in the Borderland Regions, that placement was overridden by The Essential Atlas, which established that the region did not, in fact, intersect square P-3.
