The Hex Deployer, also known as a Hex deployment vessel or a Chem Deployer, was an assault transport used by Sabaoth Squadron, and later placed under the command of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
Hex Deployers were large, rounded starships capable of carrying and supporting starfighter escorts like Sabaoth starfighters and Hex Bombers. Among its defense systems warhead launchers were included allowing the fire of volleys of concussion missiles or missiles modified to include the deadly Hex warheads, weapons crafted on Nod Kartha loaded with the chemical Trihexalon. Hex Deployers were also armed with two anti-starfighter laser turrets, to ward off any attackers while dispensing their payload.
Hex Deployers were sent by Captain Cavik Toth to destroy an island settlement on Maramere, prior to Toth's pact with Count Dooku a decade after the Battle of Naboo. The Deployers were destroyed by Jedi Master Adi Gallia, with help from Reti and Sol Sixxa. Gallia once more fought against Hex Deployers during the First Battle of Geonosis, when Toth's Hex fleet launched an assault against the Jedi Knights fighting on the planet's surface. Gallia was able to destroy the Deployers and their missiles before they breached the atmosphere of Geonosis.
The Hex Deployers appear in the 2002 video game Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter.
