When Revan and Carth Onasi came to the Lower City during their mission to rescue Bastila Shan, they visited the base and were greeted by Gadon and his bodyguard Zaerdra. Gadon told Revan that the Black Vulkars, a rival gang led by Brejik, had enslaved Bastila and stole the Beks' swoop accelerator, which they needed to win the annual swoop tournament.
To help win Bastila's freedom, Revan broke into the Black Vulkar Base, found the accelerator, and returned it to Gadon. After the race and the ensuing skirmish, in which Brejik had been killed, Gadon retreated to his quarters to mourn Brejik's death.
If the player character, as Revan, chooses the dark-side path in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, he or she accepts the offer of Kandon Ark, a Black Vulkar, to race in the annual swoop tournament for the Black Vulkars. To do so, Revan is charged with the task of assassinating Gadon for the Vulkars. He or she breaks into a restricted area, causing the Beks to become hostile. Revan then enters Gadon's quarters and assassinates him and his bodyguard Kaeira.
