Ho'Din herbal tea was a tea made from herbs, and it was brewed by the Ho'Din art dealer Tal Anavere. Anavere, who was a she, developed addictive properties in a blend of Ho'Din herbal teas. She served these teas to her clients, who were influential bureaucrats within the Galactic Empire. Anavere then used the tea's effects to glean important intelligence from the Imperials, which she subsequently relayed to the Rebel Alliance.
Tal Anavere, a Ho'Din art dealer who owned the "Sophistication" art gallery on the Inner Rim world of Obroa-skai, began serving a combination of Ho'Din herbal teas to her clients around 0 ABY. These clients were high-ranking members of the Galactic Empire's bureaucracy. Without their knowledge, Anavere was exploiting her position to gather and transmit crucial information to the Rebel Alliance. She skillfully cultivated addictive qualities within the herb-based drinks to enhance her control over the Imperials.
General Airen Cracken of the Alliance documented Anavere's use of Ho'Din herbal teas in a personal note appended to a datafile entry about the Ho'Din art dealer that detailed Rebel operatives. In this note, Cracken also expressed reservations regarding Anavere's methods for extracting information from her clients. However, his concerns were somewhat lessened by his belief that the atrocities perpetrated by the Imperial bureaucrats were significantly worse than the art dealer's use of Ho'Din herbal teas.
Chuck Truett created Ho'Din herbal tea, which first appeared in Cracken's Rebel Operatives. This 1994 sourcebook, published by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, included an illustration of the tea by Mike Vilardi.
