After Moff Wilhuff Tarkin's conquest of Mon Cala, the Galactic Empire attempted to make a Imperial-Calamari style ship, but Imperial engineers struggled to adapt Mon Calamari tools and equipment. This was an impossible task, as everything from smelting techniques to arcfusers were designed for Mon Cal and Quarren physiology. As such, Imperial High Command deemed it a failure, as it had been expensive and proved to be impossible.
