Invasion of Dathomir (Yuuzhan Vong War)

During the Yuuzhan Vong War, the Yuuzhan Vong invaded the planet Dathomir. As the planet was inhabited by the Force-sensitive Witches of Dathomir, Dathomir became an obvious target for the Yuuzhan Vong in their crusade against the Jedi and other Force Adepts. Six months after the beginning of the conflict, the planet was threatened by the the invaders, prompting the native Teneniel Djo, the Queen Mother of the Hapes Consortium, to join the war. The Yuuzhan Vong attacked Dathomir only one year and half after the start of the conflict. As the planet lacked technology and planetary defenses, they easily deployed troops and invaded the planet. However, after long months of fighting, the invaders did not succeed in defeating the Witches. Stuck in vain ground assaults, the Yuuzhan Vong abandoned their objectives and eventually renounced to their invasion. Nevertheless, the planet was ravaged by the war.
