Inverted Path

The Inverted Path, along with the Path of Contradictions, was a possible translation for the Shani term Jozanna Tock Na Du, referring to a hyperspace Path that supposedly led beyond the edge of Wild Space. According to Shani legends known to Deva Lompop, the Path's destination was a dangerous place that defied logic and the rules of the galaxy, but contained many riches. An expedition that managed to return alive from the Path told stories of ravenous creatures and plants.

The Path was given to Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh by Mari San Tekka aboard the Nihil Gravity's Heart space station before the latter passed away. Rwoh, who was unsure of the cause behind her connection with San Tekka, saw the Path in her mind, knowing it led to a place beyond the edge of the galaxy where no one had gone for a long time. The Jedi Knight continued to have visions of San Tekka regarding the Path; although Rwoh could write the coordinates or enter them into a navicomputer, she could not say them aloud, as if her brain had a block in accessing the information. Rwoh drew the coordinates to Lompop in the dirt on the planet Takodana, and although a mysterious breeze picked up and erased the writing shortly afterwards, the Shani recognized the coordinates, informing the Jedi Knight of the tales she had heard.
