Ion Ring was the code name for a secret Imperial project during the Galactic Civil War. It was among several headers listed in a set of data intercepted by the Rebel Alliance. Other codenames listed were Stellar Sphere, Pax Aurora, Black-Saber, War-Mantle and Cluster-Prism.
