Ion beamer

Ion beamers were medical devices that generated electromagnetic impulses able to disrupt the nervous system.

Ion beamers were used by medical units of the Corellian Defense Force. Some time after the Battle of Yavin, a bunch of smugglers stole a crate of ion beamers from the CDF Mobile Medical Unit 4-077 during a training exercise.

Notable users of ion beamers were the Ssi-ruuk who improved the technology to use it as a weapon. The ion paddle beamer was the primary hand weapon of the Ssi-ruuk. Although it could be lethal at short range, the Ssi-ruuk mainly used this weapon to neutralized ans stun their enemies for further entechment.
