Jaek Vercet was a male Human officer of the Galactic Empire who lived during the Galactic Civil War. After the Battle of Yavin, Vercet was the Imperial Representative to the city of Moenia on Naboo. While there, he often visited the local university. In 1 ABY, the officer was approached by a Rebel informant who was willing to defect to the Empire. The individual was eager to give sensitive information if the Empire offered him immunity. Vercet thus recruited an Imperial operative to escort the Rebel informant to Lieutenant Allard Lissara at the Emperor's Retreat. However, the informant was attacked and injured. Unable to move, he requested the Imperial operative to deliver a codephrase to Lissara: "Wookiees walk at night in the trees of Naboo." The operative delivered successfully the correct codephrase.
Jaek Vercet was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. Jaek Vercet was added to the game with the release of the Publish 14.1, on March 24, 2005.
