Jaska

Jaska, a star of the red giant variety, was situated within the Joralla system. This system formed a component of the Mektrun sector, which itself resided in the Western Reaches area of the Mid Rim.

Three planets revolved around Jaska in their orbits: Manalin, a scorching and rocky planet; Grall, possessing a temperate climate; and Joralla, a terrestrial world. Both Manalin and Grall, the two innermost planets, had atmospheres that were poisonous.

Joralla, regarded as the primary planet within its star system, had an atmosphere suitable for breathing. It completed one revolution around its star every 310 local days. This tropical jungle planet was illuminated by Jaska's crimson radiance.

Behind the scenes

The initial mention of Jaska occurred within Planets of the Galaxy, Volume One, a sourcebook published in 1991 for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. In 2009, the reference book The Essential Atlas specified the location of the Joralla system, and consequently Jaska, as grid square L-17.
