When Caleb asked whether the beacon could be used to tell the Jedi to stay away from the Temple, Kenobi told them to await orders. Caleb's Master Depa Billaba then told him that the answer would come in a different form. During the Great Jedi Purge, Kenobi used the beacon in the station to warn the Jedi to avoid Coruscant.
