According to legend, a group of Jedi took refuge in the Crystal Caves beneath the Eocho Mountains before the supernova irradiated the planet. A few survivors banded together to survive the vast wasteland Ossus had become. Over the millennia, while non-human survivors supposedly died out, the humans became the Ysanna people that would come to roam the wastes of Ossus and protect its ruins.
