A Jedi task force was sent to Galidraan to halt the Mandalorian army in 44 BBY. It ambushed and defeated the True Mandalorians and captured their leader, Jango Fett.
After the Governor of Galidraan falsely informed the Jedi Council that a group of Mandalorian warriors were murdering "political activists," a Jedi task force of twenty Jedi was sent to Galidraan, a snow-covered planet in the Outer Rim Territories. Five Consular-class cruisers, among them the Acceptance and the Radiant VII, delivered the task force to the world to put a stop to the Mandalorians. The group's leader, Jedi Master Dooku, and his Padawan, Komari Vosa, traveled on the Acceptance. The task force immediately ordered the Mandalorians, lead by Jango Fett, to stand down, an order refused by Fett.
A hard battle soon erupted, that left eleven of the task force members killed and the death of all Mandalorians except their leader, who was then captured by the remaining Jedi.
