Through a friend he met George Lucas and was given a job at Lucasfilm. At first he answered fan letters, and later wrote articles for the Bantha Tracks Star Wars Fan Club magazine. He eventually became its editor. During this time Jok also began working on a project called "Here's How," a comic strip and animated educational series featuring C-3PO and R2-D2. The idea was eventually abandoned.
Jok later created a parody/spoiler of the new Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. They featured an animated version of Jok talking about the various topics.
