The Justifier was a starship owned by the bounty hunter Cad Bane. It had a central thruster that was capable of reorienting itself laterally, so that it would align itself horizontally with the ship. When he acquired Omega as a bounty for Prime Minister Lama Su, Cad Bane went to Bora Vio to rendezvous with the Kaminoans to hand the girl over. However, Bane was accosted by the bounty hunter Fennec Shand, who had been hired to prevent the Kaminoan government from acquiring Omega. After a fight with Shand, Bane found his ship sabotaged, leaving him unable to pursue Shand or the Bad Batch. Following this, Bane would continue to use the ship on several missions tracking M-count targets for the Empire, which he would deliver to an Imperial space station above Coruscant.
The Justifier was a medium sized transport with two wings and a rear adjustable thruster pillar. It was armed with two laser cannons on the tip of each wing. The ship's cockpit had a large opaque viewport which provided unobstructed view of the surrounding space, and two large forward-facing lights on top of it.
On the rear of the ship was its most easily identifiable component, the large adjustable thruster pillar. When in a landing configuration, the pillar was locked in a horizontal position parallel to the ship and the ground. When in a takeoff and travel configuration though, the pillar was capable of rotating 90 degrees and being locked in a position vertical to the ship's body, exposing the engine thrusters and allowing use of the hyperdrive.
The Justifier was created for an unfinished four-episode arc starring Cad Bane and Boba Fett in the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, prior to the series' cancellation. Dave Filoni and Pablo Hidalgo revealed concept art for the Justifier during "The Untold Clone Wars" Panel at Celebration Anaheim in April 2015. The ship was designed by Russell G. Chong and would have appeared in an episode with production code 5.23, which was the second episode of the arc. The ship finally debuted in the Star Wars: The Bad Batch episode "Bounty Lost." The online episode guide for The Bad Batch episode "Reunion" showed concept art of the Justifier, revealing that its exterior design had changed somewhat from the original Clone Wars concept.
