The city covering the surface of Jutrand was razed by stone mites during the Hundred-Year Darkness, but was subsequently rebuilt. During the Republic Dark Age, Jutrand served as the capital world of the Bactranate, a Sith state that was led by the Quermian Sith Lord Ayanos Bactra.
Following the Battle of Gazzari in 1032 BBY, family matriarch Vilia Calimondra ordered her grandchildren including Odion, Daiman, Lioko, and Malakite to turn on Bactra. During the invasion of the Bactranate, Odionate forces conquered Jutrand. However, during a family bequest, Odion's brother Daiman was given control of Industrial Heuristics and its corporate assets; angering Odion. As recompense, Vilia provided Odion two legions of Trandoshan slave warriors.
The Jutrand system was later a member of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars.
