Kamil was a planet located in a sector of the Wild Space region of the galaxy. The planet had a desert climate with a breathable atmosphere. Livestock dealing was a popular activity on Kamil with the four main dealers, selling runyips, nunas, moofs, and robas.
The Agriculture Hub was a hub located on the planet were many of the auctions took place. Vendors sold livestock and saloons, such as The Lucky Whistle, would serve as place where many of the livestock dealers would meet up. Other locations on the planet included, Denlam and Garson Corners. The First Order had a presence on Kamil, using the planet to secure better livestock deals for their military.
During its invasion of the galaxy, the First Order established itself on Kamil, while Resistance General Leia Skywalker Organa Solo deployed Finn and Poe Dameron to Kamil to secure a deal to purchase livestock to feed the Resistance. While at The Lucky Whistle, Dameron and Finn learned of Dhar Wat who was selling spare parts on the western side of the planet. They located Wat on a train and fought off the local First Order garrison also on the train.
