Kara'Teel was a female witch and member of the Singing Mountain Clan of Dathomir. She gave her life while protecting her mother and clan leader Augwynne Djo from the machinations of her older sister Gethzerion. Following the death of Kara'Teel, Augwynne banished Gethzerion and mourned Kara'Teel.
Kara'Teel was a female member of the Singing Mountain Clan, a coven of witches native to the Outer Rim Territories planet Dathomir. A member of the Djo family, she was the youngest daughter of the clan's Human leader Augwynne Djo and the younger sister of Gethzerion, Barukka, and Allaya Djo.
Over time, Gethzerion sought to take control of the Singing Mountain Clan and allied with the witch Baritha as part of a plot to kill her mother. Sometime by 8 ABY, in Gethzerion's attempt to kill Augwynne, Kara'Teel sacrificed herself so that her mother could live. Baritha and Gethzerion were then banished by Mother Augwynne, and the two re-formed the coven of the Witches of Dathomir known as the Nightsisters. Following the death of Allaya in battle, Augwynne mourned the loss of two of her daughters, and she adopted two more daughters, Aelta and Chastina, between 0 ABY and around 1 ABY. Kara'Teel's death at the hand of her sister was mentioned in a New Republic Intelligence dossier prepared for General Airen Cracken.
Kara'Teel was first mentioned in Cracken's Threat Dossier, a supplementary reference book to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published in 1997.
