C-3PO, holding a metal case, and R2-D2 are on a rocky planet as Threepio proclaims, "We're lost!" Artoo detects lifeforms before one of the tall rocks is revealed as a rock-like alien who fires a blaster at the droids. The creature yells a word in his language that Threepio translates as "food" and removes a box of C-3PO's cereal from the metal case. Elsewhere, two Human boys are enjoying the cereal and one believes now the Force is with them. Then the happy rocky-like creature asks for more cereal and several others of his species reveal themselves, worrying C-3PO. The commercial ends with the slogan "A New Force at Breakfast."
A later variation of this commercial shortens some of the alien scenes to promote the Kellogg's Star Wars Series trading cards found free in packages of the cereal.
The commercial stars actor Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, and parts of John Williams' Star Wars theme are played. An in-universe version of C-3PO's cereal appeared in the picture book Darth Vader and Son.
