Kirames Kaj was a Togruta female politician who served as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic in 40 BBY. Around this time Qui-Gon Jinn was offered a seat to replace the retiring Jedi Master Poli Dapatian on the Jedi High Council. Outside of the Council and Jinn, Kaj was the only individual who knew of the invitation. Later in 40 BBY, Finis Valorum won the election and became chancellor.
