The Koda Spur was a hyperspace route located near the Vassek system of the Wazta sector. The route advanced eastward along the Corellian Trade Spine, another hyperspace route which stretched from the Core Worlds to the Outer Rim Territories. In 20 BBY, a Terrapin-class Bulk Tanker was traveling between the planets Stobar and Lotho Minor when it was hijacked near the Koda Spur by the dark side warrior Savage Opress.
During the Galactic Civil War, a repainted TIE fighter was rumored to have been seen along the Koda Spur. Around 5 ABY, while searching for activity of the Galactic Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing, the New Republic Intelligence agent Caern Adan and Lieutenant Yrica Quell reviewed the supposed sighting aboard the Acclamator-class transgalactic military assault ship Lodestar.
The Koda Spur was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the sixty-fifth issue of the Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine, published around March 30, 2016. In Star Wars Legends, the Koda Spur hyperlane was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace.
