In the aftermath of the New Sith Wars, during the Unification Campaigns of the 900s BBY, the final battle of the Melusi Uprising took place on Korvaii. The Galactic Republic's Judicial Forces served gallantly during a confrontation on the surface of the planet, bringing the conflict to an end.
Following the formation of the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY, Korvaii was initially left relatively unharmed by the new regime and was represented in the Imperial Senate by the Human Mina Dhori. However, after the Senate was abrogated by Emperor Palpatine in 0 BBY, the Imperial Military imprisoned the planet's population in camps.
