Krake's Planet was a planet in the Outer Rim's Demetras sector that was home to the Imperial Krake Data Vault during the Galactic Civil War. A small, rocky world, Krake's Planet was home to a species of large slugs that carved massive, twisting tunnels through the planet's surface. Krake Data Vault was formed out of a type of crystal cocoon created by the slugs, and repurposed by the Imperials to control the slugs' movements and contain the main personnel records for the Imperial military. Krake's Planet was visited by Rebel heroes Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca in 3 ABY, on a mission to retrieve information on Imperial double agent Shira Brie that resulted in the vault's destruction.
Krake's Planet appeared in Star Wars (1977) 63, written by David Michelinie and Walt Simonson, illustrated by Tom Palmer and released in 1982.
