Lachrymead was an alcoholic beverage made from the fermented tears of the sentient bees of the . It had a distinctive golden glow that strengthened through agitation. After the signing of the Galactic Concordance, Mon Mothma gave Sinjir Rath Velus a very expensive bottle of lachrymead from before the birth of the Galactic Empire. Lachrymead was used to flavor the Cassandra Sunrise, a beverage served in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in Mos Eisley on Tatooine.
