After the crew stole the Imperialis, Lobot was injured by a pair of Emperor's Royal Guard who were stationed on the ship to protect Sith artifacts Palpatine had stored on it, which included the mask of the Sith Lord Momin. The mask corrutpted the two assassins, who eventually killed Pers, before they themselves were killed by Calrissian and Chanath Cha, a bounty hunter and former lover of Lobot, who had been hired by Palpatine to either destroy the ship or capture the crew. Cha ultimately decided to activate the vessel's self-destruct mechanism and destroy the ship rather than capture her old companions, and Calrissian and Lobot were able to escape aboard an escape pod before the Imperialis was destroyed.
