Langston was a mountainous mining planet in the galaxy, situated just outside the Oggustus Nebula. The planet's ores included the rare nyix, and it was attacked for its natural resources by the Confederacy of Independent Systems early in the Clone Wars between that faction and the Galactic Republic. After the Grand Army of the Republic repelled the Separatist attack, Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker and D'urban Wen-Hurd were dispatched on an aid mission there alongside the 302nd Battalion.
