The planet was absorbed into Xim's Empire as he expanded his borders from the Kingdom of Cron, conquering the worlds of the Livien League.
Livien was neutral during the Cold War, but ruled by a tyrannical royal family. The Galactic Republic was secretly backing rebel factions against them with military shipments. Shortly afterwards, Livien's incumbent Finance Minister stole millions of credits and went into hiding.
By the Galactic Civil War, Livien had lost any prominence it once held, becoming a subsistence agriculture world pockmarked with ancient ruins.
