Roger presents his autobiography From Trenches to Wrenches: The Roger Story. The episode opens with the Millennium Falcon being pursued by TIE fighters. A younger Han Solo grumbles that he thought that the Galactic Empire did not care about them cutting through their backyard. Chewbacca growls in response. Han asks for a technical read-out on their rear deflector shields. As the ships lists during the pursuit, Roger enters the cockpit and demands that they keep it steady out her because he is trying to write his biography.

Han ignores Roger and asks Chewbacca to give him a reading. Misunderstanding Solo, Roger is flattered and begins reading from the first chapter Lo, I am Manufactured. The chapter opens with Roger being assembled in the Geonosian droid factories. Roger narrates that his formative years were like any other B1-series battle droid, which he describes as "non-stop humiliating." The story then flashes over to the Battle of Naboo where Roger and other battle droids are marching in formation on the Great Grass Plains of Naboo. While marching into battler, Roger tells his comrade R0-HK that this is their chance to prove to the galaxy what they are capable of. However, Roger is knocked to the ground by a booma. Years later, a repainted Roger sees action during the First Battle of Geonosis. Reinvigorated by his new paint job, Roger leads a squad of battle droids only to be cut down by Jedi Master Mace Windu's lightsaber. Roger is then sucked up by a vacuum droid again. He narrates that it "did not matter what planet he was on and who he was fighting, the outcome was always the same." Shots of Roger being shot and crushed on Naboo and Geonosis. On Felucia, three Clone troopers play ball with Roger's head to his dismay. Back on Geonosis, Roger is knocked down again by General Grievous on a speeder bike.
Back in the present, Roger narrates that in the end that he learnt that the most important lesson was to get out of trouble's way. Liking Roger's story, Solo dodges two TIE fighters closing in front and back on the Falcon. The TIEs collide with each other and explode. As the Falcon flies away, Han and Chewie relay. Roger asks if they want to hear another story. Han says he prefers silence while Chewbacca roars at Roger. Roger exits the cockpit with his holobook.
