The pirates were often known to target members of the Trade Federation, but gained a reputation for harassing spicerunners, enslavers, and even other individuals from time to time. They also operated custom-built starships equipped with exotic weaponry and often worked alongside Jedi Master Adi Gallia, who compromised on Jedi ideals to work with the pirates.
The Lok Revenants were first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Collapse of the Republic, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products. They originally appeared in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the flight simulation video game Star Wars: Starfighter developed by LucasArts and released in 2001.
