Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop was introduced in "Lost / Found," the first episode of the 2024 television series The Acolyte. The shop pays homage to the inn seen in the Hong Kong Shaw Brothers studio film Come Drink with Me, which was directed by King Hu, set in the Ming era (1368—1644), and released in 1966 under the Chinese title 大醉俠. Showrunner Leslye Headland stated that for The Acolyte, she took inspiration from her favorite martial arts films, naming Come Drink with Me alongside the Japanese samurai film Yojimbo, directed by Akira Kurosawa and released under the Japanese title 用心棒 in 1961.
