Lord Grathan commanded a force that was based on Dromund Kaas, when the Sith Lord declared himself as the thirteenth Dark Council member. His claim however wasn't officially recognized and the Council authorized an all-out warfare against him and all his allies.
The army was made up of sith apprentices, loyal Imperial soldiers and cybernetic supersoldiers that Grathan developed in his secret weapons labs. It also contained his cadre of elite scientists. Some volunteers, others kidnapped and forced into service, they started manufacturing a seemingly endless number of war droids. The army was pushed out of Kaas City and found their headquarters on Lord Grathan's estate where Lord Zash's apprentice slew several when stealing a weapon from Grathan.
Grathan's Army would suffer numerous causalities over a period of weeks, during the tenure of a Sith Warrior serving as Darth Baras's enforcer during the Cold War was sent to Grathan in order to wound of his secret son Beelzlit Grathan. The Warrior carved through the defenses destroying many war droids and killing many of Grathan's troops to reach the inner circle and be a breath away from the Sith Lord whom he was ordered not to kill. In the ensuing fight, Grathan's wife and son were killed which in turn forced Grathan to send his most deadly assassin to kill the Warrior for revenge. Around the same time a bounty hunter, hired by Admiral Fraabaal, attacked the base, killing several of Grathan's acolytes and defeating his apprentice Vereta Fraabaal.
Lord Grathan's army appears in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game released by BioWare on December 20, 2011. This organization represents the entire Grathan forces in Dromund Kaas. They appear most notably in the Sith Inquisitor's main quest "Dismantling the Machine" and are mentioned in the game's codex under the name of 'Grathan Forces'.
