Lucasfilm Games is a division of Lucasfilm dedicated to providing support to partners video game publishers and developers.
Lucasfilm Games was unveiled on January 11, 2021 on StarWars.com, quickly followed with the announcement of an Indiana Jones game on January 12, and a Star Wars game, from Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft, on January 13. Before this, the division was mentioned in the credits of Star Wars: The Old Republic: Onslaught, released on October 22, 2019, in Star Wars Insider 193, in an interview regarding Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, published on October 30, 2021, and in a SWTOR.com article published on December 20.
On February 17, 2021, Lucasfilm Games and Zynga announced Star Wars: Hunters. Developed since 2018 by NaturalMotion, the game is planned to be released in late 2021. On December 9, 2021, a trailer was released during The Game Awards 2021 to announce Star Wars Eclipse by Quantic Dream.
On January 25, 2022, it was revealed that three new Electronic Arts projects were under development at Respawn Entertainment: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a strategy game, and a first-person shooter game. A few months later, on April 19, 2022, it was announced that Skydance New Media, under the leadership of Amy Hennig, was working yet another title.
