During the Battle of Jakku, the leader of a group of New Republic soldiers used a set of magnetic binders to handcuff the unconscious Imperial Navy Captain Ciena Ree, who had been rescued by her lover Thane Kyrell, a pilot in the New Republic's Corona Squadron.
