Lieutenant Malena was a pilot in the Rebel Alliance's Yellow Squadron during the Galactic Civil War. In 4 ABY, during the Battle of Endor, Malena was calmly ordered by Captain Ribeiro, the leader of Yellow Squadron who Malena was second-in-command to, to follow her lead. The two then separated from the rest of the starfighter squadron and formed a protective screen over the entrance of the Galactic Empire's Death Star II space station's superstructure to prevent further Imperial TIE fighters from pursuing those inside.
