The Malvina clan, also known as Clan Malvina, was a Nyriaanan clan that lived on the planet Nyriaan.
During the waning years of the Galactic Republic, the Trandoshan Yrssk became an associate of a number of members of the Malvina clan. A group of Republic agents on Nyriaan attempted to find Yrssk whilst they investigated the Deluge Experiment, so the Trandoshan attempted deceive the Malvina clan into attacking the agents. The clan had a dislike for miners, which Yrssk capitalized on by telling the clan's leaders that the agents were miners scouting out a new location for a mine. The clan leaders were not convinced by his claim, and they dispatched several small scout groups to check whether any incursions were being made onto the clan's land.
