Milar Travis

Prior to the Battle of Yavin, she attended a briefing held by the base's commander, General Jan Dodonna, who discussed the Alliance's plans to attack the Galactic Empire's DS-1 Orbital Battle Station superweapon, arranging for the base's starfighter squadrons to carry out the attack. Travis was a fair-skinned Human female with blonde hair who sported earrings. She wore the standard Rebel flight suit, with a name tape displaying her surname in the High Galactic alphabet on her uniform.

Milar Travis was introduced in the eighth issue of Marvel Comics' Star Wars: Droids comic-book series, written by David Manak, illustrated by Ernie Colón, and published on March 17, 1987. Later, Jason Fry would consider Travis as one of several candidates to retcon as the previously unnamed role of Red Twelve during the Battle of Yavin for the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare, before ultimately settling on Puck Naeco. Nonetheless, both Travis and Fin Danglot were separately included in the book as a shoutout. Travis was also given the first name of "Milar" in that source, a tuckerization of Star Wars authors Karen Miller and Karen Traviss.
