Mind eel

Mind eels thrived and were excited when solar flares hit the planet's surface. Weather forecasts recommended the watching of mind eels and their offspring during such stellar flares, which one time occurred during the months of Neevlit and Dha in that world's calendar. These creatures did not heed the crop boundaries set in The Relevant Farm Act of Thairwsthis 12.

Mind eels were mentioned in a one-page weather forecast titled "Region 29: The West Fissure," written by Bob Carrau for the 1993 book Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas, a publication that combines creature designs and photographs from various projects of George Lucas, creator of the Star Wars franchise, with original text by Carrau. Lucasfilm employee Leland Chee, who maintains the Holocron continuity database, has indicated that information contained in the book is non-canonical. The book did not indicate the species' level of sentience.
