A mineral spotter or mineral sensor was a scanner designed to detect minerals.The Industrial Automaton Multi-Environment Mining Droid MEMD-2 utilized mineral sensors to detect mineral deposits for mining operations. They were also used by scouts to perform scans on planets. Deeve, of the Bureau of Scouting and Exploration Services, used one of these, along with other items, while on a mission.
