Mithel

Mithel, nicknamed "Mauler," was a human individual who served a pilot in the Galactic Empire's Imperial Starfighter Corps, flying as Black Two within Black Squadron.

At the battle, the Rebels attacked the DS-1 Death Star Mobile Battle Station and Vader ordered Backstabber and Mithel to be his wingmen. Vader followed Red Squadron which was targeting a thermal exhaust port, which was a flaw designed by the Imperial scientist Galen Walton Erso so that the Rebel Alliance could exploit this vulnerability and destroy the battle station itself. Vader shot many Rebel pilots until only Luke Skywalker remained to target the port. Suddenly, the Millennium Falcon piloted by Han Solo appeared and shot Backstabber, killing him. The destruction of his TIE fighter shocked Vader as Mithel tried to maneuver but accidentally flew over Vader, damaging the Sith Lord's TIE Advanced x1 and crashing his TIE fighter into a wall. Vader and his damaged TIE Advanced x1 flew away, damaged and incapacitated. Luke Skywalker destroyed the Death Star after both of his accompanying wingmen fell.
